The Netherlands is a democracy. Residents elect the government. Elections are free and confidential. In the Netherlands we have a great deal of freedom, like freedom of faith and freedom of opinions. In this country, all people are equal and everyone should be treated in the same way.

Position of LGBTI's in the Netherlands

Out of all European countries, the Netherlands together with Sweden and Denmark, is the country where its inhabitants think most positively about LGBTI’s. 7% of the Dutch think negatively about homo- and bisexuality, 10% think negatively about transgenders.
