Asylum procedure

Every person should be able to enjoy human rights and be free from fear, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Anyone who fears persecution, violence, or inhumane treatment in their country of origin (either by the government or by others) may apply for asylum to be protected and to live in another country. If you fear persecution in your home country for being (or even being perceived as) LGBTI, you can apply for asylum in the Netherlands.
